St Mary's Choir

choir.st.marysThe Choir at St. Mary’s is a small friendly group of mixed voices under the leadership of organist and choirmaster Glynne Stackhouse MA. The choir is of mixed ability and levels of choral experience, the emphasis being on enjoying making music together to produce as pleasing a standard as we can.

The choir leads the congregational singing at Sunday services, including a simple anthem most weeks, and provides music at weddings, funerals and memorial services when required. Choir practice is held on Sunday morning from 10.00 to 11.00, before the Sunday Service at 11.15 a.m.

New SATB singers will be very welcome at any time.  You don't have to have experience of singing in a church choir or be able to read music, even though both would be helpful.  The main requirement is to enjoy singing!
