We have booked our Parishes’ Away Day for Saturday 19th November in St Stephen’s, Upper Basildon. From 11am-3.30pm with a tasty lunch in the middle.

We will have had the sermon series on the nature of the church (these are available if you missed them; just ask Ben or the office). We will allow everyone to feedback including on the blessings they know and frustrations they have in church life :)

"The purpose is to encourage and get to know each other and  to listen to God; and through God and each other to discern our priorities as churches – so we are not overwhelmed with all possibilities but can be clearer what we are focussing on."

Please do sign up to join this day

Clean St Mary's

Saturday 29th October has been chosen as a day to clean St Mary's church, starting at 10am.

The church cannot afford to pay for cleaning, so please help if you can.

All Souls, All Saints

Sunday 31st October at 4pm
A Thanksgiving for the Departed service. Do please invite anyone who may be helped by this. Please let the office know if you would like to attend.

Medieval Towers of the Oxford Diocese

A new illustrated book has been published and sent to Ben. Each of our Oxfordshire towers is painted in it and details given. If you would like to see it, he will have it with him on Sunday. Good review in Daily Telegraph. Could be used as list to tick off and create walks or visits around. Or for a Top Trumps game!

Goring Chamber Choir concert

A final reminder that the Choir's autumn concert takes place on Saturday 15th October at 3pm in St Thomas’. It is entitled Amor de mi alma (You are the love of my soul) after Randall Stroope's choral setting of a text by the Spanish Renaissance poet Garcilaso de la Vega and consists of 500 years of love songs from America to Argentina, Ireland to Italy.

Tickets: £10, £5 for students in full time education, free for under 18's.

Obtainable from Inspiration, Goring, from a choir member, email tickets@goringchamberchoir.org.uk or on the door.
